New Pace these days...

I recently listened to an interview with an author as he relayed his christian conversion and through it I heard the small still voice of the Lord. He highlighted comments from the interview and I heard a phrase that caught my attention:

"slow the pace in your time with Me to enjoy intimacy rather than checking off a box"

In the interview, the author spoke concerning his reading of the Word. He purposely reads at a very slow pace each Word so that he can tune into the heart of God in the writing. He read this scripture and it so illuminated the love and care of our Father toward His Children.

And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8

If we will accept these Words in the heart that they were given, they have the power to deliver us from fear, discouragement, anxiety and loneliness. While He has taken opportunity to redirect the entire world to Himself during this time of social distancing, lets practice slowing the pace to hear His Heart toward us. Who knows, this may be the very first time many of us have a chance to really "hear" as we do now.

Know that we are praying for you!
