Pastor Lara ministered Sunday night focusing on the Reason for the Season=Jesus! Isaiah 53:4-5 in the Amplified Classic version says 4 Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
Jesus Christ, our gift from God, has come and provided wholeness for our physical, emotional and mental health!
Isaiah 55:22 KJV says Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
We can go through the holiday season trusting in His Provision and following through with application! Lets 1) cast... 2)trust... and 3)refuse to be moved by the world's pace! Walk and talk with God daily remaining in the place of peace that He has provided!
